London-based project and Bella Union signings Modern Nature have welcomed their autumnal new single 'Harvest' into the world. Following 'Flourish' last month, 'Harvest' is the second single to be lifted from the band's forthcoming mini-album Annual. Inspired by "a vivid experience in Lewes for Bonfire Night", the track is subtly experimental. Undulating around a heavily tremolo-ed chord progression, played on electric guitar, light, jazzy beats and hypnotic bass parts interact seamlessly. Featuring stunning, understated vocals by Kayla Cohen of Itasca, the track takes a slightly unexpected turn shortly after the 2 minute mark, descending into a biting guitar solo complete with discordant ring-modulated effects, which gives way to a brief sax interlude before slowing to a standstill. Annual will be released on the 5th of June. -Holly Mullineaux
